Day 1: Dushanbe
Today you will get acquainted with your guide and escort you to the capital. The capital of the Republic is located in the Hissar valley in southern Tajikistan. You will have today a city tour. You will explore following attractions: Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then the tour will offer you to visit National park and follow the next sights Ministry of Inner Affairs and the biggest National Flag in the world. In the second part of the day you will visit Central Museum and Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. The tour will not complete without visiting Asian bazar as other bazaar in Central Asia there are you will have a chance to buy national clothes or souvenirs. This day you will learn the history of the country and visit the majestic landmarks. The overnight is in the hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe – Norak – Kalai Khum
This day you will transfer to Kalai Khum village. You are going to observe Norak water reservoir -Tajik Sea. You will drive along Shuraba pass (2 267 m) and also explore the Afghanistan border starts. You will observe Pamirs Mountains and fascinate the amazing views. For a long time the Pamir mountains have been a beautiful attraction that seduces people with its beauty and they include such great people as: Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. You will also be attracted by amazing landscapes and travel here. This day you will explore Pyanj River. Who had traveled in the Pamirs, says that this majestic mountain are the ocean of white and blue mountains. You will rest the night in the home stay and have a chance to see the life of local residents.
Day 3: Kalai Khum – Khorog
The tour route will take you today to Khorog. This is a very tiny city on the map. Mountain peaks surround this city from all sides. In addition, it is considered the first city where you should start walking on the territory of the Great Pamir highway. In 1932, Khorog was officially recognized as a city. Along the way you will get acquainted with Pamir people. Pamir people have a way of life, traditions and customs, worldview in contrast to the Tajik nation. The Pamir genotype has external features that are expressed in blue skin, light skin and light hair. The Pamir is a mountain system that is located on the territory of Central Asia. The Pamir Mountains are located on the territories of Tajikistan (mostly). This night will be in a guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog
You will have today a city tour in Khorog. You will explore today the Botanical Garden. There a lot of fascinating by many gardens. Pamir Botanical garden is the highest mountain Park in the former Soviet Union and the second highest above sea level in the world after the Botanical garden of Nepal. It is located at an altitude of about three thousand meters above sea level (2320 - 3500 meters) near the city of Khorog. There are unique plants, brought from different parts of the world. You will also explore city park and handicraft shop, museum. This day you will have a chance to explore local bazar. This day you will discover the main highlights of Khorog and you will know interesting information about life in Pamir.
Day 5: Khorog – Kalai Khum
You will fascinate today the road from Khorog to Kalai Khum. There are high rocky mountains over 6 000 meters and there was built only 1 road. Pamir tour offers you to learn the beautiful views of the mountains, learn about the history, culture and traditions, customs. You will learn about the lives of people who live in this area. Along the way you will break in the small settlements where you will meet local people. The geography of the country is very unique which will perfectly show you high mountains, gorgeous views and you will learn ethnography. You are going to observe Afghan stony villages and gardens. You will rest the night in a home stay.
Day 6: Kalai Khum – Dushanbe
After breakfast you will transfer to Dushanbe through mountain road. The road will show you gorgeous views of mountains and rivers, and you can take unique photos along the way. You will see on the way picturesque river valley and fabulous gorges in the terrain. This day you will also fascinate small villages and communicate with local people. The Tajiks are one of the most ancient peoples of Central Asia. They speak a special Tajik language, a special subspecies of the Persian group of languages that are very different. This nation is by nature very interesting, kind, and hardworking, they respect their folklore and traditions and customs. This trip attracts those who love high mountains, wild nature, as well as those who like Eastern culture and history. You will spend the night in a hotel.
