Day 1: Almaty
After arrival at the airport, your driver will meet you and accompany you to the sightseeing. Your Lotus Tour will start with visiting the central part of Almaty city. The first destination is the Green Bazaar, where it is impossible to refrain from shopping. Besides this place is popular for townspeople. Then you will visit one of the oldest Almaty parks - Panfilov Park, where one of the most beautiful wooden buildings in the world - Zenkov Cathedral is located. You will also visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country. After exploration of sport, cultural and business areas of the city you will get to the Medeo Gorge, well known due to the highest mountain skating rink in the world and the dam, protecting the city from dangerous mudflows. Next destination is the Kok-Tobe hill where the tallest TV tower in the world is located (if to count from the sea level) and where you will get by the picturesque winding mountain road. The tour ends with the short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway. At the end of the day you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 2: Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Almaty.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a transfer on a comfortable car to Charyn Canyon. It is unique natural complex not only in Kazakhstan, but also worldwide. It was formed during Paleogene and reminds the Grand Canyon of Colorado River in North America. The height of the steep slopes of the canyon is up to 150-300 meters. The numerous ravines form a dense, chaotic network. On the way to the canyon you will have an opportunity to visit the local museum of traditional decorative and applied arts and crafts. Upon arrival to Charyn Canyon, you will admire the grand panorama and go down stairs to the bottom of the canyon, then walk around 2 km through the maze of the Castles Valley with its walls of bizarre shapes overhanging you. The bottom of the Canyon has slight descend to the end of the walk, where you will get to the fresh oasis on the bank of icy cold Charyn river, where also located eco-park with several yurts which are traditional dwellings of nomads and a small open air café, working in the summer time. After some rest, walking back the same path to the stairs, then car transfer to one of the observation points for another breathtaking panoramic view. Further you will be transferred to the hotel.
Day 3: Almaty – Issyk – Nur-Sultan
Today you will transfer to Issyk gorge. The tour route to one of the most beautiful gorges of Trans-Ili Alatau - Issyk Gorge lies along the Kuldja tract, where hundreds of years ago the trade caravans travelled. On the way you will be able to see the burial mounds of Saka period, where the famous "Golden Man" was found, which has become the state symbol of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Moreover, you will visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “ISSYK”, where you will see the expositions dedicated to the history and culture of the Saka period, including a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment, as well as the model of Saka burial mound. After you will come to the beautiful mountain lake Issyk which is located at an altitude of 1756 meters above sea level in the valley with the same name. On the lake you will enjoy the majestic beauty of its turquoise water surface and the Issyk Gorge, as well as listen to the details of the natural disaster of 1963.
Further you will have a transfer to the Almaty International airport and departure to Nur-Sultan. Upon arrival to the capital city you will have a transfer to the hotel.
Day 4: Nur-Sultan
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will have a tour in Nur-Sultan city this whole day where you will get acquainted with the historical center of the city as well as its modern part. At the beginning you will see the Constitution Square, where the president of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev announced the decision of transferring the capital of the country from Almaty to Astana (now Nur-Sultan). It will be also possible to make a step back in time while taking a closer look at one of the most beautiful buildings in the city's architecture - Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan* with the Golden man, well known not only in the Kazakh steppe but also in all Central Asia. In order to better understand today’s life of the city, you will enter the largest and unique shopping center Khan Shatyr. Then you will take the elevator to the top of the Astana-Baiterek monument, where you can admire the magnificent panorama of the Kazakhstan capital from the special observation deck. Then you will get the Kazakh Eli Square by crossing Ishym river. There you will visit another unique project - the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, and also see the extraordinary beauty of Khazret Sultan mosque. The essential part of the excursion excursion will be National Museum of History of Kazakhstan, where you can look at the far-reaching plans of the development of Nur-Sultan together with its historical background. Thus, having made the way from the past to the future through the present, you will understand the fate of this unique city - the pride of modern Kazakhstan. At the end of such productive day, your transfer will take you to the hotel.
Day 5: Nur-Sultan – Borovoe – Nur-Sultan
Today’s day is dedicated to an excursion to Burabai National park (Borovoe). This place occupies 85000 hectares of northeastern part of Kokshetau elevation. There are no monuments of material heritage in Borovoe. But the nature itself has created the unique natural landscapes of extraordinary beauty with combination of majestic mountain scenery, blue mirror lakes, coniferous and deciduous groves. Upon arrival, you will visit the Khan’s pass and see Burabay and Zheke-Batyr mountains. On Abylaykhan Valley you will feast your eyes upon Ush-kyz, Ok-Zhetpes rocks and Kokshetau mountain, each having the surprising legends reflecting history and identity of the Kazakh people. Further you will have an easy hiking on Bolektau mountain, on the top of which the tremendous view of the Borovoe lake and its surroundings opens, as well as of Zhumbaktas rock. The excursion guarantees you hundreds of beautiful pictures and warm memories. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to the hotel in Nur-Sultan.
Day 6: Flight
In the morning you will have a breakfast in the hotel and check-out. Your driver will take you to the airport. This is the end of your tour in Kazakhstan and now you are returning back your home.
